Thing 4
Reading different blogs turned out to be much more interesting than I originally thought. Since most of the blog entries were written in a relaxed, personal way, I didn’t “tune out” while I was reading and rarely skipped words (which I tend to do if the text is boring!) The links associated with the blog (either within the text or in a separate section) kept me reading about the subject far longer than I anticipated. They were right at my fingertips; all I had to do was click and I was right there reading more about the subject. The variety of comments were interesting as well. Most didn’t seem too worried or up tight about their “correct grammar” (capitals, periods) and the ones I liked the best were more bullets than paragraphs. They were easy and quick to read but told me exactly what they thought and led me to decide if I thought their comments were valid and something I wanted to think about more or if I didn’t agree and wanted to dismiss them or comment back. I learned more today about Cyberbullying, Digital Natives, A New Way to Give Pop Quizzes, etc. than I learned in the past year in the Instructor magazine! My favorite two: The one about the girl who devised a plan to make a difference: Eleven Year Old Makes a Difference and the precious one about the duck laying an egg on the school playground, Daisy Duck. It was priceless.
I enjoyed reading your blogs – congratulations you are on your way! I am glad that you enjoyed blogging more than you thought you would! I also loved Daisy Duck (and your links worked!)
